Care
Passionate care, in a beautiful home
Every resident is known — by name, by story, by what makes them smile. We care for the whole person, with patience and genuine kindness.
Our experience matters…
We care for older people who need a little support or a lot, with specialist dementia care in its own dedicated wing.
- Experienced Home Manager Jaime Burns — a door that’s always open
- A well-trained team who’ve been with us for years — and do it all with a smile
Rated Good by the Care Quality Commission. The recent Healthwatch Milton Keynes report spoke warmly of life at Broomfield.
Living well, eating well
Our lifestyle coordinator learns what each resident enjoys — and the team make it happen, shaping days around you:
- Music, singing and gentle dancing
- Exercise and reminiscence sessions
- Visiting entertainers and activities
Mealtimes are a daily highlight. Freshly prepared dishes with choices at every sitting, snacks through the day, and our bistro café for coffee with visiting family. Special diets are all lovingly catered for.
Visiting professionals
Physiotherapy, podiatry, opticians and dental care all visit the home regularly — alongside our own beauty salon.
Convalescent and end-of-life care
We provide short-stay convalescent care for those recovering from hospital — and compassionate end-of-life and palliative care with dignity.

Frequently asked questions
What types of care do you provide?
We provide residential care supported by visiting nurses, specialist dementia care in a dedicated wing and respite care for shorter stays. Every resident has a personalised care plan.
How much does care at Broomfield cost?
Fees between £1,000 and £2,000 per week, depending on room and level of care — meals, activities, laundry and utilities included. We are happy to discuss fees openly at a viewing.
Can we look around before deciding?
Of course — we encourage it. You can arrange a viewing or a complimentary assessment at a time that suits you. Call us on 01234 711 619 or use our contact form.
How are families kept involved?
Our Family Portal keeps you involved in your loved one’s care at the touch of a button — and our team is always available to talk.
Can we visit at any time?
Yes — family and friends are always welcome, with no need to book. We simply ask that you bear mealtimes and your loved one’s routine in mind. Between visits, our Family Care Portal keeps you connected at the touch of a button.
What happens if my loved one’s needs change?
Care plans are reviewed continually, and with residential and dementia care under one roof most residents stay settled as needs evolve. Family are always involved in any decision.
What about food and special diets?
Fresh, nutritious meals daily, with choices at every sitting and snacks through the day. Special diets — soft foods, diabetic, vegetarian or cultural — are all catered for.
Can my loved one come for a short stay or respite?
Yes — respite and short-stay care are ideal after a hospital stay or to give a family carer a break. A trial stay is also a lovely, no-pressure way to experience Broomfield.
What should we bring when moving in?
Just the personal touches that make a room feel like home — photographs, ornaments, a favourite chair. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished, and we will help you settle in from day one.
